This existing timber cottage had a "Japanese Style" renovation completed several years ago. The new two storey addition to the side uses elements of the style to fit in but without overpowering the existing single storey cottage. The addition contains a 2 car garage below with a large bedroom, robe and ensuite above. The two parts are connected by an enclosed walkway which becomes the new entry. The house is in a high fire risk area (Flame Zone) and requires bushfire shutters and special detailing.
